The veteran administrator Paul J. King recently, along with fellow board members and district administrators will not seek a fourth term. King has held on the 3rd Place of the Board since 2001 and completed a third term in May.
Terms and Carol Mott Vernagene Fletcher, place 4 and 5 for each place, also ended in May. Both owners plan to seek reelection.
This marks the first election for a seat on the PISD Board of Trustees since 2006. In the past three years, each office has been running unopposed.
According to district officials, King cited the program increased travel at work and the desire to spend more time with family as a reason for its decision.
“It’s time,” King said in a statement. “It’s not an easy decision, because I take seriously our role as a member of the Board. We have made our community resources are more important – with children – and I appreciate the confidence placed in me for nine years.
“This has been a pleasure working with so many members of the talented and dedicated staff for many years,” continued the king. “I am grateful to all those who have supported me, and I would hope that when Pflugerville is in the hands of our local leaders capable of remaining members of the council, and campus groups and prominent.
King still hopes to play a role in continuing education to help his wife, Rita, who was a classroom teacher in Austin.
“I have no doubt that Rita still helps grades of paper every weekend,” King joked.
Applications for a place in the Pflugerville ISD Council election ballot of the school may be submitted at the administration building PISD, at 1401 W. Pecan St., Pflugerville, 8 February to 8 March between 8 am and 4:30, Monday through Friday.
Place 3, Place 4 and Place 5 expired in May 2010.
Supervisors of elections are held every year for three years. Elections will take place May 8.
Pflugerville Isd
As noted by several changes in various parts of the United States in relation to the education sector, the Leander ISD does not stop the obligation to submit to a set of rules and a new formula for the table. But most of the hustle and bustle with reference to Leander ISD has to do with sports and sports fields.
Bastrop, who won the district title recently, could not collect on the status and supervise 4A slides 5A ranking in the category. Despite everything that happened, Bastrop is still strong opposition to enormous disruption to other people as Connolly heavyweight, Hendrickson and Hutton. Leander ISD athletes will be aimed at dealing with units of Lake Travis and Cedar Park.
Cedar Park has been doing very well and look fabulous lately. They had gone to secure the 5A district title. Besides 5A district title, athletes also won in Cedar Park Vista Ridge. With the victory of the right either to give energy and pumping enthusiasm and optimism needed sleep, athletes in Cedar Park is more than ready for the match against Leander ISD units.
Other teams included in the 4A classification is Vandergrift and Rouse. Tommy Cox, who played the direction of sports programs in the district who pay to watch the game.
