They outlined a plan to socialize America by overwhelming the system with government spending and entitlement demands. Add up the clues below. Taken individually they’re alarming. Taken as a whole, it is a brilliant, Machiavellian game plan to turn the United States into a socialist/Marxist state with a permanent majority that desperately needs government for survival … and can be counted on to always vote for bigger government. Why not? They have no responsibility to pay for it.– Universal health care. The health care bill had very little to do with health care. It had everything to do with unionizing millions of hospital and health care workers,

as well as adding 15,000 to 20,000 new IRS agents (who will join government employee unions). Obama doesn’t care that giving free health care to 30 million Americans will add trillions to the national debt. What he does care about is that it cements the dependence of those 30 million voters to Democrats and big government. Who but a socialist revolutionary would pass this reckless spending bill in the middle of a depression?– Cap and trade. Like health care legislation having nothing to do with health care, cap and trade has nothing to do with global warming.

It has everything to do with redistribution of income, government control of the economy and a criminal payoff to Obama’s biggest contributors. Those powerful and wealthy unions and contributors (like GE, which owns NBC, MSNBC and CNBC) can then be counted on to support everything Obama wants. They will kick-back hundreds of millions of dollars in contributions to Obama and the Democratic Party to keep them in power. The bonus is that all the new taxes on Americans with bigger cars, bigger homes and businesses helps Obama “spread the wealth around.”– Make Puerto Rico a state. Why? Who’s asking for a 51st state? Who’s asking for millions of new welfare recipients and government entitlement addicts in the middle of a depression? Certainly not American taxpayers.

But this has been Obama’s plan all along. His goal is to add two new Democrat senators, five Democrat congressman and a million loyal Democratic voters who are dependent on big government.– Legalize 12 million illegal immigrants. Just giving these 12 million potential new citizens free health care alone could overwhelm the system and bankrupt America . But it adds 12 million reliable new Democrat voters who can be counted on to support big government. Add another few trillion dollars in welfare, aid to dependent children, food stamps, free medical, education, tax credits for the poor, and eventually Social Security.– Stimulus and bailouts.

Where did all that money go? It went to Democrat contributors, organizations (ACORN), and unions — including billions of dollars to save or create jobs of government employees across the country. It went to save GM and Chrysler so that their employees could keep paying union dues. It went to AIG so that Goldman Sachs could be bailed out (after giving Obama almost $1 million in contributions). A staggering $125 billion went to teachers (thereby protecting their union dues). All those public employees will vote loyally Democrat to protect their bloated salaries and pensions that are bankrupting America .

The country goes broke, future generations face a bleak future, but Obama, the Democrat Party, government, and the unions grow more powerful. The ends justify the means.– Raise taxes on small business owners, high-income earners, and job creators. Put the entire burden on only the top 20 percent of taxpayers, redistribute the income, punish success, and reward those who did nothing to deserve it (except vote for Obama). Reagan wanted to dramatically cut taxes in order to starve the government. Obama wants to dramatically raise taxes to starve his political opposition.With the acts outlined above, Obama and his regime have created a vast and rapidly expanding constituency of voters dependent on big government; a vast privileged class of public employees who work for big government;

Former Rep. Dan Rostenkowski, the Chicago Democrat who became the leading architect of congressional tax policy in the Reagan era but later went to federal prison for corruption, died Wednesday, a family friend said. He was 82.

Rostenkowski was born and raised in the old “Polish Downtown,” a blue-collar neighborhood on Chicago’s Northwest Side. Born to a political family, he was a product of the Chicago machine, serving in the state legislature at age 24. A few short years later, with the support of his close ally Mayor Richard J. Daley, Rostenkowski was elected to the U.S. Congress.

He was present in Chicago for the famously disastrous 1968 Democratic National Convention, and his association with that event sidetracked his otherwise meteoric political rise. By 1981, though, he had risen to sufficient prominence to become the Chairman of the influential Ways and Means Committee.

In that role, he oversaw passage of the Tax Reform Act of 1986, one of the most significant overhauls of the tax code in American history. He also led the way on Medicare, welfare and Social Security reforms.

At the same time, “Mr. Chairman,” as he was commonly known, was a reliable supporter of his beloved home town, aggressively securing federal funds for Chicago and aligning himself closely with the city machine. He secured $32 million for construction of the Blue Line, $75 million for the remodeling of Navy Pier, and $150 million for construction of the White Sox’s Comiskey Park, now U.S. Cellular Field.

His political career came to an abrupt end in 1994, when a Justice Department investigation led to federal charges against Rostenkowski. He was implicated in the Congressional Post Office scandal, in which he allegedly laundered office money through postage stamps to buy gifts for friends and supporters. He pled guilty to mail fraud, and served 17 months in prison.

Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist and longtime Rosty critic Mike Royko wrote at the time, “Most of the things he was nailed for would have been legal and common or, at worst, nickel-dime offenses when he began his career in Congress.”

Corey Tindall, Daughter of GCI Executive Dies in Alaska Plane Crash

Today we learnt that a GCI executive named Dana Tindall died in the tragic Alaska plane crash along with daughter Corey Tindall.  Corey was just 16-years-old.

“Our hearts are with Dana’s family,” said GCI President and CEO Ron Duncan. “Dana and her daughter Corey were a big part of our GCI family and we are devastated by the news of their passing.”

Corey Tindall was travelling with her mother who was GCI’s senior vice president of legal, regulatory and governmental affairs.  They have left a husband/father, Virgil Peachey and a son/brother Connor Tindall.

President Zardari was addressing a gathering of PPP workers at a convention here when a man – apparently a PPP worker – stood up and threw something towards the direction of the President as he (the man) criticized the latter for the UK trip.

According an eyewitness who was present at the convention said ‘the man threw two shoes one after another in direction of the President when he was giving speech.’ Security personnel present there sprung to action and took the man into custody and took him outside, the eyewitness added.

This led the President to stop his address and immediately leave the place in a security cordon in his car waiting for him outside.

President Zardari is presently in UK on a trip which was widely criticized due to his leaving the country at a time when people in Pakistan are facing unprecedented floods that has killed over 1000 people and displaced millions.

On the recommendation of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, two permanent judges and one ad-hoc judge have been appointed to the Supreme Court.

Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani said the current tension between judiciary and government has now ended.

Earlier, Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry met Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani at the Prime Minister House.

The meeting continued for more than 2 hours, which was also attended by Supreme Court Registrar Dr Faqir Khokhar and Law Secretary Aqil Mirza.

Following the meeting, Prime Minister Gilani told media the government has decided to elevate Justice Saqib Nisar and Justice Asif Khosa to the Supreme Court of Pakistan, while Justice Khalil Ramday will be appointed as an ad-hoc judge in the apex court for a period of one year.

He said Justice Khawaja Sharif will continue to work as the Chief Justice of Lahore High Court.

Gilani said the decision has been taken in the best interest of nation, country, political forces and the democratic system.

Premier Gilani said: “We have held a meeting with the Chief Justice of Pakistan as part of a consultative process according to the Constitution.”

To a question, he said the decision has full backing of President Asif Ali Zardari. “I and President Zardari are part of one party,” he commented.

Benazir Bhutto

Former Prime Minster of Pakistan (Late) Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto would be shown on the silver screen in 2012.  A close friend of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto and a leading British producer and filmmaker have decided to make a feature film on the life and achievements of Ms Bhutto. Dawn News further adds

Victoria Schofield and Farah Durrani, in collaboration with Insha Taqi Pauwels of Silverstream Productions, are working on the project. The film, titled “Benazir Bhutto – Destiny”, would be about the extraordinary courage of a daughter, a mother, a politician and a woman who risked all and paid the ultimate price when she was assassinated in Rawalpindi in December 2007, said a member of the team working on the project.

The team is at present finalising the script after which it will choose the cast. The film is expected to be released around the fifth death anniversary of Ms Bhutto in 2012. Victoria Schofield, a renowned writer and broadcaster on Pakistan and Kashmir, was a close friend and contemporary of Benazir Bhutto at Oxford. Their friendship spanned over 30 years from debates at the Oxford Union to Benazir’s first premiership in 1988.

Victoria Schofield travelled with Ms Bhutto when she returned to Pakistan after eight years in exile and was with her when terrorists struck her homecoming rally in Karachi in October 2007.  Farah Durrani is an award-winning documentary-maker who has worked extensively in Pakistan and filmed with Benazir Bhutto over 20 years. Farah was in Larkana in 1988 when Ms Bhutto was asked to form her first government and was the last TV journalist to record her interview before the assassination.

Victoria and Farah say they are delighted to work together. Their close association with Ms Bhutto, they add, gives them a unique insight into her world and her life and makes them a perfect match to take her story to the big screen.

It will be interesting to see what kind of script they come up with. Though the storey of Benazir Bhutto is really tragic, but will it include the true face of Asif Ali Zardari? by virtue of whom the PPP Government was toppled twice due to corruption charges. Anyways, I think its a good development and would love to see an Oscar worthy feature film made in this regard. Also would be good to see what kind of cast they include in the film. Will keep you update on all the news and updates regarding the film.
